Amanda found her beginning training horses through a personal 2-year apprenticeship with Certified John Lyons trainer, Connie Hare.

 

In 2004, Amanda completed her Apprenticeship Program under Ken McNabb - 2008 and 2010 Road to the Horse competitor, star of RFDTV show “Discovering the Horseman Within“, and Certified John Lyons trainer.

 

Throughout many years of hands-on experience both teaching and training, Amanda has expanded her skills to include many diverse disciplines, from Trail Riding, Dressage and Hunter/Jumper to Team Roping, Sorting, Reining, and Polo.

 

Amanda uses a mixture of Natural, Modern, and Classic training techniques. With over 30 years training and teaching experience, she believes in establishing and maintaining an important balance of respect, motivation, and appreciation. Encouragement is key, for both horse and rider, and Amanda works hard to bolster confidences and increase strength in both partners.

 

Recently having moved to the Los Angeles area, she now offers her assistance in a number of areas, including starting horses, overcoming spookiness, teaching manners, halting aggression, and advancing to new levels of ability.
